The Challenger GS 1x20 is a multi-functional night vision device that has a number of applications. It can be used as a night vision monocular, night vision goggles (if set up on a Head Mount; the device can be used either for the right or the left eye), or a night attachment for a day optical rifle scope or a collimator sight. The body of the device is hermetically sealed, enabling use in the harshest of conditions including fog, heavy shower, dusty environment, sand storm and the like.
At the core of the Challenger GS 1x20 is the unique combination of specially designed optics and the CF-Super Image Intensifier Tube, which gives the highest edge to edge resolution, clear, distortion free and geometrically precise image across the entire field of view.
The Challenger GS 1x20 is equipped with a wide angled short range infrared illuminator, as well as having an auxiliary plug, allowing the attachment of more powerful, focusable external IR illuminators.
The device and the built in IR illuminator are able to be switched on/off with a single switch. The design of the switch prevents the IR illuminator from accidental activation, avoiding potential disclosure of the observer's position.
The Challenger GS 1x20 is suitable for a wide range of situations, including nocturnal walks or bicycle rides, night orientation, tourism, guard of industrial facilities & private property, military, sports, patrolling and rescue operations.
